A form of training where students pair up to practice a specific technique. Each student alternates between attacking and defending during the course of training.

A translation of the organisations japanese name Ki No Kenkyukai. The Ki Society exists to teach people about Ki and teaches a style of aikido called Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido.

A form of training where a prescribed group of Waza and stretches are practiced one after another.
Tanto
A wooden, single edged knife commonly used in Aikido training.
Uke
When training Uke takes the roll of aggressor and usually takes a fall at the completion of the technique.
Ukemi
A collective name for the techniques taught for safely taking a fall; break-falling and rolling.
Waza
An exercise containing the underlying movement(s) of one or more techniques.
